Takachiho Shrine
Takachiho Shrine is believed to have been founded around 1900 years ago during the reign of Emperor Suinin and is revered as the head shrine of the Takachiho 88 Shrines. The main shrine building and the "iron komainu" designated as an Important Cultural Property of Japan are examples of rich regional architecture. Within the shrine grounds, there is the "Couple Cedar," and it is said that if partners hold hands and circle it three times, they will receive blessings for love, marital harmony, and descendants' prosperity. Every night at 8 PM, "Takachiho Kagura" is performed, allowing visitors to enjoy traditional dances that have been passed down through the ages.
