Nichinan Coast

The Nichinankai Coast is a scenic coastline that stretches approximately 100 km, representing Miyazaki Prefecture. It extends from Miyazaki City to Nichinan City and Kushima City, featuring the blue sea and sky of the Pacific, along with phoenix trees and tropical flowers that create a tropical atmosphere. There are many highlights to see, such as the wave-patterned rocks known as "Oni no Sentakubuta," Aoshima surrounded by subtropical plants, and the mysterious Utoko Shrine with its vermilion main hall. Additionally, it is famous as a surfing spot that attracts many surfers from both Japan and abroad, and provides an excellent route for driving and touring.

Access
From Yuutsu Station on the JR Nippō Line, take the Miyazaki Kōtsū bus bound for Miyazaki Station for about 30 minutes, and get off at Ubude Elementary and Junior High School. It's a short walk from there. It takes about 35 minutes to drive from JR Miyazaki Station.
