Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum

The Nagasaki Atomic Bomb Museum is a facility that conveys the devastation caused by the atomic bombing of Nagasaki on August 9, 1945, and the history of recovery that followed. The museum provides detailed information about the catastrophic impact of the bombing, which resulted in the deaths of approximately 74,000 people and the destruction of the city, as well as the events leading up to the atomic bombing and the history of nuclear weapons development, emphasizing the importance of peace. Inside the museum, visitors can find displays of photographs taken immediately after the bombing, personal belongings of victims, and a clock that stopped at 11:02, the moment of the explosion, helping to reinforce the value of peace. Additionally, there is a library and video corner, which are also utilized as places for peace education.
