Beppu Jigoku Meguri (Hell Tour)
The "Beppu Jigoku Meguri" tour includes visits to seven hells: Umi Jigoku (Sea Hell), Oniishibozu Jigoku (Demon’s Head Hell), Kamado Jigoku (Cooking Pot Hell), Oniyama Jigoku (Demon Mountain Hell), Shiraike Jigoku (White Pond Hell), Chinoike Jigoku (Blood Pond Hell), and Tatsumaki Jigoku (Tornado Hell). From the Higashi-Kyushu Expressway (Beppu IC), turn right and drive straight for about 3 km on Prefectural Road 11 towards the Kinosaki Onsen area, taking approximately 5 minutes.
■ By Bus
- From JR Beppu Station West Exit, take Kamenoi Bus No. 2, 5, 24, or 41 to Kinosaki, which takes about 20 minutes. Get off at the bus stop: Umi Jigoku-mae or Kinosaki. It is a 1-minute walk from there.
- To get from Kinosaki to Chinoike Jigoku, take bus No. 16 and get off at Chinoike Jigoku-mae.
■ Highway Bus (Beppu to Fukuoka, Beppu to Nagasaki)
Get off at "Kinosaki-guchi," which is just a short walk away. - Parking
