Senjōji Temple
Chinjoh-jiki is a scenic spot in Wakayama, characterized by its expansive rock formation located at an elevation of about 200 meters. The sloping white rock face, which juts out towards the Pacific Ocean, is composed of Tertiary sandstone, shaped by the crashing waves into a unique landscape. The breathtaking view of the sprawling rock pavement-like terrain alongside the sea and sky is truly spectacular, especially during sunset when the evening sun creates an awe-inspiring beauty. Additionally, there are many attractions such as observation towers and the Sandan-beki cliffs, making it ideal for walks and drives. In the vicinity, you can find places like "Kaisen-ya Chinjoh" and "Akane Chinjoh Chaya", which allow you to enjoy delicious meals along with the beautiful scenery.
