Kumano Nachi Taisha
Kumano Nachi Taisha is a shrine revered as one of the Kumano Sanzan, along with Kumano Hayatama Taisha and Kumano Hongu Taisha, and it is located on the slopes of Nachi Mountain. The vermilion-painted shrine building, situated at an elevation of about 500 meters, exudes a sacred atmosphere and attracts many worshippers as the center of Kumano faith. The main deity, Kumano Fusu no Okami (Izanami no Mikoto), is considered the god who governs the generation and growth of all things, and it is believed to provide blessings for matchmaking and good health. The coexistence with the nearby Nachi Falls is also a highlight.
