The Railway Museum

The Railway Museum

The Railway Museum opened on October 14, 2007, in Omiya, Saitama, as the main project commemorating the 20th anniversary of JR East. In 2018, the South Building was opened, and the main exhibition was completely renewed. The museum is divided into five stations: "Vehicles," "History," "Work," "Science," and "Future," showcasing a diverse range of exhibits that tell the story of railways. It features 41 actual railway vehicles, a 1/80 scale railway diorama, and an interactive museum, where visitors can enjoy experiences like train driver simulations and railway simulators. It is a recommended spot for families and railway enthusiasts.
