Canal City Hakata

Canal City Hakata

Canal City Hakata opened in 1996 with the concept of "Theater of the City" and has become Japan's first full-scale commercial complex that creates a new flow of people in Fukuoka. This facility, centered around a canal, offers a variety of urban functions including shops, restaurants, cinemas, and theaters. Notably, the "Ramen Stadium" and the fountain show utilizing projection mapping are popular attractions. With the opening of the East Building expansion, the facility aims to further enhance its accessibility under the theme of "Value & Entertainment." It is loved by both domestic and international tourists, becoming a popular sightseeing spot in Fukuoka, and is also recognized as a model for urban development. With a diverse range of stores lined up, visitors can enjoy their time comfortably even on rainy days, thanks to the covered areas.
