Kibitsu Shrine
Kibitsu Shrine is known for its legends surrounding Kibitsuhiko no Mikoto and the ogre Ura, which are considered to be the prototypes of the Momotaro legend and associated with the tale of demon-slaying. The "Narigama Shinto Ceremony," where the sound of a kettle is used to predict good or bad fortune, is famous and beloved by many visitors. The main hall and worship hall, rebuilt in 1425, are unique examples of the Kibitsu style (hip-and-gable roof) and have been designated as national treasures. Additionally, the beautiful corridor that extends for 360 meters is also a highlight, allowing visitors to enjoy a landscape where history and nature harmoniously coexist.
