Hitsujiyama Park

Hitsujiyama Park

Hitsujiyama Park is located on the eastern side of Chichibu City and in spring, the "Shibazakura Hill" is covered with a beautiful carpet of flowers, attracting many tourists. Approximately 400,000 plants of 10 different types of shibazakura (moss phlox) are planted over an area of about 17,600 square meters, reaching their peak bloom from mid-April to early May. From the "Viewing Hill" within the park, visitors can enjoy a panoramic view of Chichibu City, where about 1,000 cherry blossom trees, including Yaezakura and Someiyoshino, are in full bloom. The park also features the "Yamato Art Museum," which exhibits works by painter Ushio Shigaku, the "Bukōsan Museum," and a "Petting Farm" where visitors can interact with sheep, making it popular among families. The fireworks of the Chichibu Night Festival can also be enjoyed from the "Viewing Hill," making this park a captivating destination with seasonal natural beauty and a variety of attractions.
