Hachibodai Observatory

Hachibodai Observatory

Hachibodai is a breathtaking spot where you can enjoy a panoramic view of the magnificent scenery from the highlands of the Oga Peninsula at an elevation of 180 meters. From this observation deck, you can overlook the Sea of Japan, Togawa Bay, and unique volcanic lakes designated as natural monuments of the country, such as Ichinomegata and Ninomegata, all the way to the direction of Aomori Prefecture. Especially at sunset, the enchanting view of the sun sinking into the Sea of Japan captivates the hearts of visitors. The name "Hachibodai" was given by Prince Takamatsu. The observation deck is equipped with a large parking area and restrooms, making it easily accessible. However, it can still be considered a hidden gem, allowing you to leisurely enjoy the beauty of nature. If you want to experience the stunning natural scenery and sunset, this spot is definitely worth a visit.
