Kaike Onsen
Kaike Onsen is a beautiful seaside hot spring area located on the northern side of Yonago City in Tottori Prefecture, facing the Japan Sea. Known as "Shio no Yu" or "Salt Hot Spring," this onsen features a sodium-calcium chloride spring with a high thermal effect, and the source temperature ranges from 63 to 83°C. Discovered in 1900, it now boasts about 30 accommodations, making it the largest hot spring area in the San'in region with a capacity of 4,000 people. It is one of the few places where you can enjoy both beach activities and hot springs at the same time. Visitors can indulge in the therapeutic benefits of the hot springs, which are said to alleviate neuralgia and promote beautiful skin, all while taking in views of the crystal clear sea and Mount Daisen, the highest peak in the Chugoku region.
