Tamagawa Onsen
There is only one accommodation facility, designed as a genuine onsen retreat for healing and recuperation. Nurses are on-site, and there are both ryokan (inn) and self-catering options available. Additionally, near the accommodation, there is a natural rock bath where guests can spread out blankets or mats on the grassy area to relax. The adjacent "Tamagawa Onsen Nature Research Trail" is about a 1 km walking course where you can experience the remnants of volcanic activity, including the source "O-Datsu," "rock formations," and "fumaroles."
This area is within the Towada-Hachimantai National Park, allowing visitors to enjoy the beautiful nature of all four seasons, particularly the breathtaking views during the fresh green and autumn foliage periods. Tamagawa Onsen offers the ultimate healing experience for those seeking solace for both body and mind in harmony with nature.

*Please note that immediately after the opening of National Route 341 (in spring) and just before it closes (in autumn to winter), there is a risk of nighttime freezing. Therefore, from 19:00 to 8:00 the following morning, the section between Nikugami-kan on the Tazawako side and Sumikawa on the Kazuno side will be closed to traffic at night, so please be sure to plan your time accordingly.
