Kankakei Ropeway

The Kankakei Ropeway is a cable car that leads to the summit of Kankakei, located within the Setonaikai National Park. Kankakei is counted among Japan's three great scenic valleys, renowned for its deep valley beauty and the vibrant colors of nature throughout the seasons. From the ropeway, visitors can enjoy the magnificent views of the valley alongside breathtaking scenery of the Seto Inland Sea. Whether in spring with fresh greenery or autumn with vivid foliage, stunning panoramas can be enjoyed in any season. The summit is dotted with many photo spots, allowing visitors to savor unforgettable moments while immersing themselves in nature and spectacular views.

Get off at the "Kounoutei" stop on the route bus, and it's about a 1-minute walk.
Approximately 1 hour from Tonosho Port.
About 30 minutes by JR Yosan Line "Sakate Line" to Kusakabe Port, then transfer to the Kamigake Line and get off at "Kounoutei," followed by a 1-minute walk.
About 30-40 minutes by car from each port in Shodoshima.

200 standard cars and 20 large vehicles.
