Kinugawa Onsen
Kinugawa Onsen is a historic hot spring that was discovered during the Edo period and was only accessible to monks and feudal lords traveling to Nikko. It became widely available to the public after the Meiji era and has since developed into one of the largest hot spring resorts in the Kanto region, attracting many tourists. The spring water is alkaline simple spring water, known to be beneficial for nerve pain, frozen shoulder, fatigue recovery, and overall health enhancement. It is tasteless and odorless, gentle on the skin, making it enjoyable for many people. The area is surrounded by rich natural scenery and is home to various theme parks, such as Edo Wonderland and Tobu World Square, making it an excellent base for sightseeing, with the World Heritage site of Nikko just about a 30-minute drive away.
