Futami Okitama Shrine
Futami Okitama Shrine is a shrine dedicated to Sarutahiko no Okami, with the iconic夫妻岩 (Meoto Iwa, or Husband and Wife Rocks) towering in the sea near the main building. The Meoto Iwa is considered a torii gate for worshipping the sacred Kiyotama stone and is beloved by the locals. Throughout the shrine grounds, there are numerous frog figurines, said to be the messengers of Sarutahiko no Okami, believed to bring blessings such as "safe return." It is said that pouring water on the "Mangan Frog" at the water basin can grant wishes, and the shrine also offers charms featuring the Futami frog motif at the gift shop. Additionally, a purification ritual called "Hama Sangū" is conducted to cleanse the mind and body before visiting Ise Jingu.
