Aomori Prefecture Tourist Information Center (ASPAM)
Aomori Prefectural Tourist Center ASPAM serves as an information hub for tourism and local products in Aomori Prefecture, showcasing the魅力 of the region to visitors. The distinctive 76-meter triangular building, designed with the "A" in "AOMORI," is a notable landmark. Located by the sea, it is a must-see spot for its beautiful night illumination. The first floor features a Plaza of local products, where the enticing aroma of freshly baked apple pie invites visitors to explore a wide array of Aomori's specialties, including an abundance of seasonal fresh apples. Additionally, live performances of Tsugaru shamisen are held daily, and the second-floor experience zone includes a theater showcasing the Nebuta Festival through a 360-degree 3D digital display, as well as a demonstration area for Tsugaru Kogin-zashi embroidery. From the observation deck on the 13th floor, visitors can enjoy stunning views of Aomori City, the Hakkoda Mountains, and on clear days, even as far as Hokkaido, all from a height of 51 meters. The name ASPAM is derived from the initials of Aomori, Sightseeing, Products, and Mansion. Here, you can experience Aomori's delicious food, traditions, and breathtaking scenery all at once.
