Shiretoko Five Lakes
Shiretoko Goko consists of five enchanting lakes surrounded by primeval forests, captivating the hearts of visitors with its tranquility and abundant nature. The elevated boardwalks are free during the season, offering views of Lake One and the Shiretoko mountain range from observation decks. The ground-level paths require an entry fee, where visitors can enjoy nature while listening to explanations from nature guides. The sight of the Shiretoko mountain range reflecting on the lake's surface is breathtaking, and one can also spot animals such as brown bears and Steller's sea eagles. Access is via shuttle bus from the Utoro Onsen bus terminal, getting off at the "Shiretoko Goko" bus stop. Shiretoko Goko is a treasure trove of nature, attracting numerous tourists year-round who come to enjoy the magnificent natural beauty of Shiretoko.
