Sadachine Bridge
Sada Shinkai Bridge is the longest and most downstream sunken bridge spanning the Shimanto River in Kochi Prefecture, with a length of approximately 300 meters. This bridge is designed to sink underwater during high water levels, eliminating the need for railings to prevent it from being washed away, making it one of the iconic landscapes of the Shimanto River. During the tourist season, it is bustling with visitors enjoying river activities and photography. Its distinctive blue piers create a beautiful contrast with the surrounding nature. Located about 15 minutes by car from Shimanto City, it is easily accessible and loved by many tourists.
