Detailed Information
Nabana no Sato is one of Japan’s largest flower, greenery, and food theme parks, located in Kuwana City, Mie Prefecture. Within its vast grounds of approximately 300,000 square meters (about 17 hectares), visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers, nature, hot springs, gourmet dining, and more, making it a popular attraction that can be enjoyed year-round.
Inside the park, a wide variety of flowers bloom throughout the seasons: cherry blossoms, tulips, and nemophila in spring; roses, hydrangeas, and Japanese iris in early summer; firefly viewing in summer; and cosmos and dahlias in autumn. The sweeping flower fields are truly breathtaking, and one of the park’s greatest charms is the ability to enjoy different kinds of beauty depending on the time of year. In addition, seasonal events featuring plum blossoms, Kawazu-zakura cherry blossoms, and weeping plum trees ensure there is always something worth seeing throughout the year.
One of the most popular highlights is the Nabana no Sato Illumination, held from autumn through spring. Known for its immense scale, said to be among the largest in Japan, the light art created with the latest LED technology and sophisticated production techniques captivates countless visitors. The main display changes theme every year and is truly magnificent, with the entire park enveloped in a fantastical glow. At night, some flowers are also illuminated, offering a different kind of beauty from the daytime experience.
One of the park’s signature facilities is the large greenhouse, the Begonia Garden in the “Flower Garden of the Andes.” Here, hundreds of species and about 12,000 plants collected from around the world are in full bloom year-round, allowing visitors to admire vividly colored flowers regardless of the season. Its scale and beauty are deeply impressive and continue to fascinate all who visit.
Nabana no Sato also offers excellent relaxation and dining facilities. At the day-use hot spring facility “Sato-no-Yu,” Nagashima Onsen, guests can enjoy high-quality natural hot spring water in spacious open-air baths. Meanwhile, at “Nagashima Beer Garden,” visitors can taste freshly brewed craft beer made within the park, with an authentic flavor inspired by traditional German brewing that is especially popular.
A wide range of restaurants serving Japanese, Western, and Chinese cuisine are also available, allowing guests to enjoy authentic meals while taking in the scenery. With cafés and shops as well, it is easy to spend a leisurely and relaxing time here.
Access is convenient as well, with the park located about 30 minutes by car from downtown Nagoya, and it is also easy to reach by public transportation. Nearby attractions such as Nagashima Spa Land and Nagashima Onsen can also be enjoyed together with a visit here.
In this way, Nabana no Sato is an oasis where rich nature and a variety of facilities come together in harmony. It is a charming theme park where visitors can enjoy seasonal flowers, spectacular illuminations, hot springs, and gourmet food all in one place. Because it shows different faces in every season, there is always something new to discover, and it continues to be loved by many people.
