Kouri Island is a beautiful small island located in the northern part of Okinawa mainland, surrounded by emerald green waters. The Kouri Ohashi Bridge opened in 2005, making it accessible by car. The island features approximately 7 km of beaches, with Tinu Beach being popular for its heart-shaped rock (Heart Rock) and Tokae Beach where visitors can observe coral pot holes. You can enjoy snorkeling and various beach activities in the crystal-clear waters. Kouri Island is also known as the "Island of Love" and is a tourist destination that is home to the Okinawan version of the Adam and Eve legend.
