鍋ヶ滝公園

Nabegataki Park

Nabega Falls is a beautiful waterfall with a height of about 10 meters and a width of approximately 20 meters, formed by a volcanic eruption that created the Aso caldera around 90,000 years ago. The waterfall is characterized by water flowing wide like a curtain, creating a mystical view when illuminated by dappled sunlight. In the surrounding area, visitors can enjoy a healing moment by feeling the negative ions while getting close to the flow by the riverbank or even behind the falls. Additionally, every spring, an event is held to illuminate the area behind the waterfall, offering a fantastical landscape to enjoy. It is an important spot within the Aso Geopark where you can truly feel the power of nature.
