Ashizuri Misaki
Cape Ashizuri is located at the southernmost tip of Shikoku, offering a panoramic view of over 270 degrees from its observation deck. Situated at the tip of the Ashizuri Peninsula, it is a spectacular spot where you can truly feel the curvature of the Earth. The white Ashizuri Lighthouse stands on the cliff of the cape, watching over ships in the distance with a luminosity of 2 million candelas. The cape is also known as "Camellia Cape," and every February, approximately 60,000 camellias bloom, reaching their peak season. It is renowned as a sunrise spot, drawing many visitors who come to witness the first sunrise of the year on New Year's Day.
