Bocchan Train
The "Botchan Train" is a diesel locomotive based on a steam engine that was beloved by the citizens of Matsuyama for 67 years starting from 1888. It gets its name from Natsume Sōseki's novel "Botchan," and it remains popular among tourists today. The restored train recreates the atmosphere of the steam locomotive of the time and operates on two lines from Iyo Railway Matsuyama Station to Dogo Onsen Station, and from Dogo Onsen Station to Komachi Station. The conductor's uniform also follows the design of that era, allowing passengers to enjoy a retro journey.
