Kirishima Tenbou Kouen

Located at the southern tip of Oshima, Kamero Mountain Observatory Park boasts one of the best views along the Shimanami Kaido. From its observation deck at an altitude of 307.8 meters, visitors can see the Kurushima-Kaikyō Bridge and its tidal currents, and on clear days, even the highest peak in western Japan, Mount Ishizuchi. The observatory was designed by renowned architect Kengo Kuma, featuring a design that harmonizes with nature embedded in the ground. This location also offers stunning views of the sunset and the illuminated Kurushima-Kaikyō Bridge, and it is known for "the view of the Kurushima-Kaikyō from the summit of Kamero Mountain," which has been selected as one of the 88 scenic spots of Shikoku.
