Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse
Izumo Hinomisaki Lighthouse is located about a 20-minute drive from Izumo Taisha Shrine. Standing at a height of 63.30 meters above sea level and 43.65 meters to the top of the tower, it is the tallest lighthouse in Japan. The pure white lighthouse stands out against the blue sky, and from the observation deck, visitors can enjoy a 360-degree panoramic view. On clear days, you can see the Oki Islands to the north and mountains to the south, with stunning sunsets and fishing lights creating a romantic atmosphere. Nearby, there are breeding grounds for silver gulls and remarkable rock cliffs, and the lighthouse has been selected as one of the World's 100 Best Lighthouses.
