Namba Parks

Namba Parks

Opened in 2003 on the site of the former Osaka Stadium, "Namba Parks" has gained attention as a new landmark in the Minami area of Osaka. In 2007, the T-terrace and Takashimaya Space were added, further enhancing the existing shopping zones, restaurants, and learning salons. Now featuring one of the largest cinema complexes in Osaka and brand stores making their debut in the Kansai region, this facility has become a must-visit spot in Minami.

One of the highlights of Namba Parks is the rooftop garden, "Parks Garden." It is home to around 500 species of plants, totaling about 100,000 individual flowers, along with flowing streams. This beautiful garden is cherished by many as a place to escape from the hustle and bustle of the city and enjoy nature.

The overall design of the facility was created by John Jardine, who also participated in Roppongi Hills, featuring a vast 10,000 square meter rooftop park and a diverse range of shops and restaurants spread out from the 3rd to the 9th floor in a terraced layout. Additionally, the Park Tower, standing at 150 meters with 30 floors, includes office spaces as well.

The closest station is Nankai Namba Station, and the facility aims for sustainable urban development that incorporates the elements of "green, water, and light." There is another rooftop garden on the 8th floor, and boutiques, specialty shops, and restaurants spread out below, allowing visitors to enjoy shopping and dining while spending pleasant time in the urban oasis.

With all these elements combined, Namba Parks offers a multifaceted space that enriches the lifestyle of adults. If you visit Osaka, be sure to check out this beautiful facility where the city meets nature.
