Ueno Onshi Park
The park is home to numerous cultural facilities, including Ueno Zoo, the Tokyo National Museum, the National Museum of Nature and Science, and the National Museum of Western Art. Most of these facilities are accessible at reasonable admission fees, usually around 600 yen, and many are closed on Mondays.
Access to Ueno Park is very convenient, being only about a 2-minute walk from JR Ueno Station, and also within walking distance from Ueno Station on the Tokyo Metro Ginza Line and Hibiya Line, as well as Uguisudani Station on the JR Yamanote Line and Keisei Ueno Station.
There are many historical buildings within the park, including the statue of Saigo Takamori, Ueno Toshogu Shrine, and Shinobazu Bentendo, each with its unique background and aesthetic.
