Shurijo Castle Park
Shuri Castle Park is a historical park centered around Shuri Castle, which is a symbol of the Ryukyu Kingdom. Although part of it, including the main hall, was destroyed in a fire in 2019, many valuable cultural properties that convey Ryukyu culture remain in the surrounding area, such as Shureimon Gate, Sonohyan Utaki Stone Gate, and the ruins of Engaku-ji Temple. Visitors can discover new attractions of Shuri Castle by following the revitalization model course. Resting at the rest center within the park is also recommended.
